Peruvian (Western) Dead Leaf Lizards as their name suggests are native to South America, they inhabit the forest edges where they camoflauge amongst the fallen leaf litter and shrubs, they are a diurnal species meaning they are most active during the daytime!
This cheeky little chap has definitely made a mark on us in store, we all think hes awesome! He eats a variety of live insects and will happily tweezer feed! He thrives in a planted, enclosure with lots of branches and leaf litter for him to hide amongst.
Although this species isnt best known for handleability we have been putting in lots of work with 'Dave' in store and he will allow us to handle him majority of the time, but patience is key in bonding with any reptile!
