'Squeeze' REHOMER CB Corn Snake

Squeeze is a stunning adult female corn snake. She is a very calm and sweet girl. As a mature female, she is capable of producing clutches of eggs during the breeding season, even if she has not been paired with a male, so her new owner should understand how to recognise and manage this natural behaviour. Corn snakes are generally calm, hardy, and make excellent pets, with a lifespan of 15–20 years or more when cared for correctly. She will need a suitably sized, secure enclosure with appropriate heating, lighting, and enrichment, and she is best suited to a responsible owner who is prepared to provide the long-term care and husbandry that an adult female corn snake requires.

Squeeze has some cleft scutes on her underside, near her heart. This would have occurred later on during incubation when the scales in that section did not develop fully, leaving a narrow line of exposed skin. It looks similar to the flexible skin line found along the underside of the lower jaw (the part which allows snakes to stretch their mouths when feeding). We recommend Squeeze goes to a pet only home because of this. She has been examined by our veterinarian and whilst it's not considered a cause for concern, whilst we still recommend furnishing her vivarium with cork branches and decor, it would be best avoid any branches with sharp twigs, broken ends, or decor with protrusions that could catch or damage the softer area.
